Hello! renju fans

Next weekend the 46th Meijinsen tournament will be held in Atami city.
All perticipants were fixed, so I will explain that system.

3 top players of last year had already been passed qualification.
1.Yamaguchi
2.Okabe
3.Kamo

7 players will be chosen by qualification.

2 players from East Japan(from Hokkaidou to Kanto area)
2nd qualification result;
1.Kawamura 3-0-2 passed
2.Sato 3-2 passed
3.Arita 2-2-1
4.Koyama 2-3
4.Isobe 2-3
6.Nagao 1-3-1

1 player from Tokai area (including Nagoya, Shizuoka)
2nd qualification result;
1.Ishitani 3-0 passed
2.Maruyama 2-1
3.Miyoshi 1-2
4.Yamamoto 0-3

2 players from Kansai area (including Kyoto, Osaka)
2nd qualification result;
1.Hata 2-1 passed
2.Iio 1-1-1 passed (won the extra match)
3.Miyagawa 1-1-1
4.Sakamoto 1-2

1player from Chuugoku and Shikoku area
1.Matsuura 5-0 passed
2.Kawate 4-1
3.Arai 2-3

OKABE WON THE MEIJINSEN TOURNAMENT

Mr.Okabe won for the first time. The result was following;

1.Hiroshi Okabe 7dan 8-0-1
2.Norihiko Kawamura 9dan 7-0-2
3.Yoshihiro Iio 8dan 5-3-1
4.Yusui Yamaguchi 9dan 5-4
5.Yuki Kamo 6dan 4-4-1
6.Kiyotomi Sato 6dan 4-5
6.Masayuki Hata 5dan 4-5
8.SHinichi Ishitani 8dan 1-5-3
9.Hiroshi Matsuura 7dan 1-6-2

Okabe got a draw against Kawamura for the first game.
Kawamura draw against Matsuura.

Okabe played very good and smart.
It will be an interesting game between Hasegawa and Okabe.
It will be played at 18 and 19 of October.(1st and 2nd game)

Thank you for the message. I watched the last game of meijin cup yesterday. Congratulate Hasegawa for his convincing win. Black did not have any chance in the game. After black's 49th move, white wins for sure. Even if black uses a different 49th move, white still has advantage. I am wondering which are the bad moves for black. The 21st move?
